Oblivion was my first book written as a full-time author. Committing myself to a daily writing goal, I sat down every day and wrote 3,000 words, no matter what was happening in my life. Some days, the words flowed easily; other days, it was a struggle to reach that target. Through the process, I learned the value of discipline and persistence, and by the end of about four months, I had completed the manuscript.

Darron and Tabitha were such fun characters to write, and they quickly became real personalities in my mind. Sometimes, it felt as though they were guiding the story rather than me—often pushing back against my plans for them or surprising me with new directions. Their banter, conflicts, and growth made every writing session exciting. I love when characters come to life and develop their own voices, and Darron and Tabitha did just that. Watching them learn to work together, overcome their flaws, and grow as a team made the writing process especially rewarding. By the end, I felt like I’d taken a journey alongside them—one filled with challenges, laughter, and unexpected moments.
