“Helping Others Find Their Voice—On and Off the Page.”

A little about me.
I’m dyslexic, so writing for a living was never something I imagined doing. Spelling and grammar have never been my allies.
It wasn’t until college that I discovered creative writing and fell in love with it. I realized that being a writer is about more than just spelling and grammar—you need to tell a fantastic story. Storytelling has always been part of who I am. As a child, seeking excitement in ordinary moments, I told stories from a young age—sometimes landing me in the principal’s office more often than I’d like to admit.
Twenty years later, I use my imagination to craft stories that offer hope and adventure. My goal is to make readers laugh, sigh, and root for the characters I love creating, while also helping other writers realize their dreams through coaching and mentoring.
I am a mother of three and a retired Navy wife. Writing became my lifeline through many of my husband’s deployments. I love running half-marathons with my husband and any friends willing to join in the fun, as well as Jane Austen, tattoos, CrossFit, sarcasm, quick wit, gardening, crafting, and all things Harry Potter. Above all, I treasure the quiet moments when I can sit and reflect on the day’s events.

Stories heal the hearts that find them!

Write because you must!

Let your story find the heart that needs healed!

A little about my education.
I began my educational journey at a junior college in Lake Forest, IL, in 2001, earning an Associate of Psychology. After a ten-year break from school—and five years as a self-taught author—I returned to college in 2017 to pursue my passion for creative writing. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in 2019 with a minor in graphic design, and completed my Master of Creative Writing with a focus in YA in December 2021.
I am a seeker of self-truth and purpose, passionate about helping and uplifting others. I’m equally passionate about coaching writers and providing developmental editing to help new authors tell their best stories. I also organize teen writing groups to nurture Idaho’s writing community. For me, writing heals hearts—one character and one plotline at a time.
