IT INVOLVES USING GENTLE TOUCH ON OR NEAR THE BODY TO CREATE A SPACE TO RESET, REBALANCE, AND REFOCUS THEIR ENERGY. Reiki entered my life many years ago through my sister, who was very ill and searching for alternatives beyond Western medicine. She discovered Reiki first, and after several months of energy work, her health began to improve. She then arranged a session for me. As I lay on the table, unsure of what to expect, I suddenly felt a burning sensation in my third eye—the space between and just above my eyebrows—forming a circle with intense pressure behind it. On the verge of tears, something finally broke through, and I could feel heat flowing through the center of my body. That moment changed me forever, and I began to receive Reiki every few months. When anxiety surfaced in my life in 2020, I decided to pursue my Level One Reiki certification to learn how to heal myself. Now, as a Reiki Master, I incorporate Reiki into my daily life through meditation and much more.

During a sound healing session, the bowls are placed around or near the body and played to produce soothing tones and vibrations that help calm the mind and balance the body’s energy.
